BloodOut was founded in 2017 out of a practical need identified during the delivery of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) courses. While teaching tourniquet application, it became clear that existing training methods were not sufficient.
Practising on one's own leg does not provide a realistic understanding of how much pressure is truly required to stop arterial bleeding.
At the time, suitable training devices were not available on the market. To ensure that students could train correctly and safely, the decision was made to develop purpose-built arterial tourniquet training systems that reflect real-world conditions as closely as possible.
BloodOut was created to offer tools that genuinely support learning and ultimately help save lives.
BloodOut is focused on creating practical training tools that genuinely improve skills. The goal is not to simulate trauma for its own sake, but to ensure that users leave training with a clear understanding of what effective hemorrhage control truly requires.
Because in critical situations, correct training makes the difference.
